The Statue of Liberty Club (SLC) started in the fall of 1991 with a 3-page newsletter and 3 members. Today there are several hundred members reading and enjoying the newsletter. There are members inCanada, France, and the United States.

Some people receiving the newsletter include the President of The United States, Mayor and Governor of New York, the Superintendent of National Parks Service-Liberty Island and Mr. Christopher Radko, glass ornament artist.
Thsi anthem was  written by Warren Edward Barootjian in 1984 and has been archived in the Ellis Island Museum Library since 1986.

Warren Edward Barootjian, also known as Warren Michaels, is a registered songwriter with BMI for 30 years  and  has authored more than 60 songs. A full Orchestral score is available perfect for a 50 piece ensemble arranged ad transcribed by Seth Weinstein composer of several off Broadway Musicals as well.

Theme Songs such as  "Purple Hearted Heroes"  and "Toys for Tots Train" are  examples of the caliber of music that Mr Michaels has  penned and are set aside as philanthropic endeavors

This song is in process of being adopted  by the city of Newburgh NY as a theme for Memorial Day ceremonies each year at Geneeral Washington.s Headquarters on Liberty Street in Newburgh New York where it has been performed since its conception
